In addition to our work with clients, the Springboard Policy team keeps busy with other projects that fit with our goal of improving public policy and bringing more voices to the table. That includes work to build and strengthen the public policy community.
The time tax refers to the many hours that people spend doing paperwork or other tasks just to receive government services and supports. At its worst, the time tax can be regressive, wasteful, and ineffective. Despite this, the time tax often flies under the radar. We think it deserves more attention.

We produce PolicyJobsTO, a weekly public policy jobs newsletter that connects good people with good work. It was started in 2016 by two colleagues who are now part of the Springboard team.
Prompted by the Canadian Space Agency’s (CSA) call for Canadians to share their visions for Canada’s future in space, Springboard Policy and Vass Bednar convened a group of public policy and technology professionals from across Canada in fall 2020. This 2021 discussion paper reflects the key themes of those discussions and highlights key issues that should be at the core of a framework for Canada’s space future.
In 2019, we started a project looking at the future of think tanks and the role they play in generating better public policy ideas.
